Chefs: Anita Lo, Michael Chiarello, Rick Bayless, and Hubert Keller
Quickfire Challenge: For the final quickfire challenge of the season, they resurrected the blindfolded taste test. Out of 20, Hubert got 5 correct, Rick got 6 right, Anita got 6 correct also, and Michael got 7 right.
Elimination Challenge: The chefs need to cook a buffet meal for 200 people. This time, they get to pick 3 souz chefs from former contestants after briefly interviewing them (2 minutes each). Michael, having won the quickfire challenge, got first pick. The picks were as follows:
Michael: Fabio, CJ, Brian*
Anita: Jamie*, Dale, Ilan
Rick: Richard, Alex, Betty*
Hubert: Elia, Antonia, Spike*
Of course, there is always a twist. In the middle of cooking on challenge day, one of the souz chefs need to be cut from each team. The former contestant indicated by the * shows the person eliminated from each team.
Rick and Hubert had the two highest scores tonight, so they will be moving on to the final challenge. Hubert won with almost perfect numbers from the judges in addition to a very high score from the tasters, which is good because he had the lowest score coming off of the quickfire challenge. Michael just barely squeaked by, so Anita was eliminated. She ran into quite a few problems during the elimination challenge, so this is not very surprising.
