The Amazing Race

View Date: 10/11/09

The teams started off after their pit stop in Ho Chi Minh City by travelling to Phenm Pehn, Cambodia. Once there, they had to head to a cafe and find the assignment leader, from whom they retrieved a photo. From the photo of Jackie Kennedy they had to locate the hotel which contained a duplicate of the picture to obtain their next clue.

There, they picked up a detour, cover or wrap. In Cover, they had to convince a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids, to purchase 4 helmets for 10 dollars. Once paid, they had to bring back the money to get their next clue. For Wrap, the teams had to go to a Russian marketplace and obtain a an intricately designed scarf. They then had to wander through the very expansive marketplace and find a woman wearing an identical scarf, then return her to the original stall to obtain their next clue. Most teams chose Wrap, but the lawyers in last place chose Cover on the advice of a local in the hotel.

The teams then had to make their way on foot to their next location, approximately 2 km away. A road block, one person had to learn how to be a monkey as taught by the “monkey master”, and successfully complete three monkey maneuvers to earn their next clue. Once completing their monkey tasks, the teams raced their way to the pit stop.

Zev and Justin won this leg. Unfortunately, they couldn't find their passports after checking in with Phil. If they can't find their passports prior to the last team checking in, they will be eliminated from the race. Being that they couldn't find it, even after recalling their taxi and going back over their footsteps, they were eliminated from the race.

10 words or less: Lesson learned: Don't lose your passport.
