Glass

Author: Ellen Hopkins
Completed: 8/27/09

In this sequel to Crank, Ellen Hopkins once again provides an intimate look into the world of a methamphetamine addict. It picks up shortly after the previous book and continues telling the narrative in verse. We see the recovering addict relapse and fall even deeper into her addiction. Even when she tries to do the right thing and come down when she knows she will need to be alert and in her right mind, everything seems to fall apart.

This was yet another wonderful book by Ms. Hopkins. I truly enjoy her poetry, which is something I don't say about many people. I look forward to reading her next book, and the upcoming third in this series.

10 words or less: Had to remind myself it was based on truth.
