Splitsville

View Date: 9/6/09

This was a family movie about a group of kids who band together when they discover that their parents are all getting divorces. They are being ridiculed by the kids with non-broken homes, and discuss ways they can use their situation to their advantages in different aspects of their lives. Other kids in their class whose parents were still together wanted to join their group, so they devised plans to break up their parents.

This was a cute movie, especially for kids. The children in the movie were supposed to be somewhere between third and fifth grade, which allowed younger kids to relate. I thought it showed that kids may not always know their parents' marriage may be breaking up, nor is it their fault. Another lesson expressed in this movie is that it's not always the best idea to influence your friends so their lives match yours, nor is it always a good idea to follow your friends' ideas.

10 words or less: A cute family movie with good lessons to be learned.
