300 is the story of the king of Sparta taking 300 men to go up against the largest army ever known at that time, the Persian army. Persia was conquering every nation it came across in its bid to take over the world. The city's council would not support a full-fledged attack or even a defensive stand, as they were heeding the advice of corrupt individuals. King Leonidas chose to fight for freedom rather than surrendering to slavery.
This movie was spectacular. I had heard from many people that it was good, and I wish I had listened and seen this sooner. The fight scenes were fantastic. The visual enhancements were subtle but totally appropriate (it definitely wasn't obviously animated like I was expecting). This was a great story to be turned into a movie, and even included small moments of humor. Overall, this was a great movie.
